Welcome to Christmas with Bara Church: Christmas Eras
This December, Bara Church invites you on a unique, creative journey through the decades with our exciting series, “Christmas Eras.” Each week, we’ll celebrate the joy of Christmas with an era-inspired twist, tying it all back to the timeless truth of the Christmas story.
Why Christmas Eras?
In today’s world, “eras” are a way to celebrate the unique styles, sounds, and memories of different decades. This December, we’re using this theme to connect people from all walks of life with the joy of Jesus’ birth. Whether you’re reminiscing about past decades or exploring faith for the first time, our message is clear: *No matter what era you find yourself in, Jesus is worth celebrating.
What to Expect
Each Sunday will feature a nostalgic journey through a different decade—the ’70s, ’80s, ’90s, and 2000s. These fun, standalone events are perfect for families, friends, neighbors, and coworkers. No matter the week you join us, you’ll enjoy a welcoming and joyful atmosphere that points us back to the timeless story of Jesus.
Highlights of the Series:
- Themed Snacks and Giveaways: Enjoy treats and surprises inspired by each decade.
- Era-Inspired Dress-Up Days: Join in the fun by dressing in attire from the featured decade. Christmas Eve will be a special “Timeless” theme, focusing on the eternal significance of Christ’s birth.
- Photo Booths: Capture fun memories with themed photo opportunities each week.
- Era Music: Experience the sounds of each decade to get into the spirit of the season.
A Special Sunday: December 22nd
On December 22nd, join us for a very special morning! We’ll have one gathering at 9:30 a.m., followed by “The Christmas Time Travelers” at 11:00 a.m. This joyful, faith-filled children’s program will feature our bKids as they retell the wonder of Jesus’ story. Bring your family and friends to celebrate the meaning of Christmas through the eyes of our kids.
Christmas Eve at Bara Church
The celebration doesn’t stop there! On Christmas Eve, we invite you to join us for a special candlelight gathering. This evening will feature classic Christmas carols, family-style worship, an inspiring message, and a beautiful candle-lighting moment as we reflect on the eternal significance of Christ’s birth.
