Imagine a weary traveler staggering through terminals and hotel lobbies with overstuffed suitcases, trunks, duffels, and backpacks full of everything they own. Their back aches, their feet throb, and their eyelids droop.
We've all seen people like that. We've all been people like that, lugging around our emotional and spiritual burdens we were never meant to carry. Fear, worry, discontent, and more - no wonder we get so weary, exhaustion begging us to put some of those bags down.
Now imagine you're riding on the back of a tandem bicycle on a summer day. You feel the warm sun on your skin and the gentle breeze in your hair. With your partner leading the way, you can relax and enjoy the ride, taking in the scenery and chatting as you go.
That's the goal for the Bara Series, "Traveling Light." With the twenty-third Psalm as our guide, let's release some of the burdens we were never intended to bear. We will discover that the journey can not only be easier, but it can also be expediently more enjoyable!
