Bridge Story #7: The Palazzolo Family

What was your initial connection with Bara?

My initial connection with Bara was in 2010 after graduating from nursing school. Alex started attending and playing the drums in 2009 after meeting Joel in Starbucks where he was working as a barista at the time. We both began attending together and have been ever since (aside from a brief year-and-a-half living in Houston). Joel officiated our wedding in 2011, and all three of our kids have been dedicated in the church as well! Bara is so unique to us and special us. We have loved watching Bara grow and change!

How did you decide to get connected here?

We quickly became members and have been meeting with our bGroup for years! Personally knowing and caring for others in the church is very important to us. We know someone in the church is always willing to reach out and check on us and help if needed.

Why should someone else get connected with Bara?

I have such a sense of belonging here at Bara. I know and care about others here and people know and care about me! That's what Jesus wants for us! I can't imagine doing life any other way. After the birth of each child, there has even been meals organized to be delivered which we are so thankful! And we are happy to do the same! I attribute these things to initially getting connected and the emphasis on community involvement here.
